Four-For-Four En Route to the Frozen Four

The first day of spring was here last week. But this weekend is when spring really gets underway and starts to heat up bringing an end to the long, dark, cold northern winters. That’s right, it is College Hockey Tournament time. The ponds are no longer a battlefield, as the ice melted to unsafe levels a couple weeks ago, so we huddle around our T.V.’s for the final culmination of that game we love so dear.

The NCAA D-I Men’s Ice Hockey Tournament opened play last night with four games. I’m batting a thousand in my picks which include three upsets, which I didn’t really see as upset picks when I made them. While I wasn’t surprised with the Air Force win, I was surprised that Michigan was able to outshoot them by 30 shots!  Say it with me, “Holy Moly! What a Goalie!”

Anyhow, here’s my bracket, I’ll keep it updated daily as the tournament progresses. Good luck to fellow WCHA-ers North Dakota, today, as I picked your sorry gold-bricking asses to go to the championship game.
