I’m now in Kentucky for the May 20th primary showdown. Hopefully I’ll be able to get some substance on here soon. For now, though, enjoy this gem of Bill O’Reilly completely losing his shit after he and his Harvard degree are outsmarted by a TelePrompter back when he used to work for that beacon of outstanding journalism, Inside Edition.
Note: Video had been removed. New link added. Video works.
Hillary Clinton gets a crucial win in the Pennsylvania Primary, defeating Barack Obama 55-45.
My predictions were a tad high, and - admittedly - the 15% prediction was made after a few beers.
In my defense, though, the region I was working in - which was largely the 5th Congressional District (plus some extracurriculars) and covered all or part of 21 counties - went to HRC 60.5% - 39.5%; a 21 point spread! So, I’ll claim partial vindication on the predictions.
Indiana here I come!
Despite the more experienced colleagues predicting 8 and 10 point HRC victories, (in my opinion a 10-point win is the minimum threshold) I’m upping my prediction to HRC by 15. *knock on wood*
Enjoy tomorrow night, everyone.
There is a whole lot of knocking on wood going on in my hotel room as I catch up with folks back home via the cellular telephone. Why? Because just as a pure gut feeling I’ve been telling people to be sure to watch the results Tuesday night, as I’m predicting Clinton by 12. *knock on wood*
This prediction hasn’t been based on any polling - in fact I’ve avoiding any discussion of polling since I’ve been in Pennsylvania - but based on my interaction with PA voters. Behold, I received a text this morning from a Wisconsin friend informing me that Drudge has a headline stating Clinton internals show 11 point lead going into tomorrow’s primary.
So, watch the results, my prediction is now a 12(+) Clinton victory. *knock on wood*
I am.
The Pennsylvania primary is only a week away, and things seem to be looking relatively good in Hillary-land. *Knock on Wood* And I just got word that I will be back in Wisconsin afterward for no more than 24-36 hours, and then it is off to a location yet to be determined in Indiana through the May 6th primary.
After that? Who the hell knows…back home would be nice (although I can’t complain, others have been in the shit for a much longer time than I have…but I’ll complain anyhow). Otherwise, here’s what the rest of the nominating calendar looks like (whether or not I’ll be in any of these places is completely unknown at this time):
May 13 - West Virginia
May 20 - Kentucky, Oregon
June 1 - Puerto Rico
June 3 - Montana, South Dakota
Charlton Heston died yesterday at the age of 84. He was indeed a great actor and one of Hollywood’s great legends. He has left us with a plethora of great cinema that I know I will be showing my kids when I have them.
And while I’m not a “I want to take away your gun” liberal (I know very of those actually, probably because I’m from Wisconsin and guns are a big a staple as beer and meat), a promise is a promise, Mr. Heston. Your gun, please?
This is weird. Good, but weird.
Checking my blog stats today, there were a number of referrals from MyFox News sites in Detroit, Kansas City, Phoenix and St. Louis.
It seems someone came across my post about the King assassination 40 years later, and decided to excerpt me in the “Whose Saying What” sections of their articles.
I’ll take it.

I’m not at all surprised by this report. In fact, I completely expected it.
Who should be the Veep?
Well, unlike the pundits, I’m not going to suggest the “Dream Team” ticket of Clinton/Obama (or vice versa), mainly because I think the concept is much like it is in the sports world, where (to paraphrase hockey coach Herb Brooks) dream teams rarely achieve the actual dream.
I want the most qualified person to be Veep, and that person is Sen. Joe Biden. If the nominee chooses anyone else, they’re an idiot.
As for Edwards, don’t think there isn’t going to be a spot for him in a Democratic administration. Positions such as Attorney General, Sec. of Housing & Urban Development (HUD), and Sec. of Labor all come to mind as perfect fits for Sen. Edwards.
